When people talk about digital strategy, they often think of social media or marketing activities. In reality, whenever new technologies are introduced into the company or change management is undertaken, careful planning of the goals to be achieved in the short and long term is necessary.

Every change, in fact, requires a precise map to follow so that the organization evolves without losing the competitive advantage acquired.

So what does one do? First, there’s the choice of the departments to be involved, such as marketing and information technology (IT), human resources, sales, and finance.

The second step is to define a strategy following the steps of long-term planning:

  1. definition of a roadmap for the achievement of goals;
  2. analysis of the current situation through a S.W.O.T. analysis to highlight the critical nodes;
  3. definition of a new governance and planning of steps forward;
  4. implementation of the strategic choices previously defined. There will be important technological investments to support, such as those for Artificial Intelligence, IoT, or Automation in this phase;
  5. analysis and measurement of the results obtained.

What do you do after results are measured? Read the article “Digital Strategy: 5 Steps to be Competitive” on the DeltalogiX blog and find out what are the stages of the Digital Transformation journey. Enjoy!
