In the flow of data circulating in your company every day, human resources often handle sensitive or confidential data themselves. It can happen that they share information out of negligence or perhaps because they don’t understand its value.

But the problem can also be the other way around: that is, your employees are afraid to share personal data internally because they are unsure of its management. To get out of this impasse, the company must clarify and protect itself at the same time.

Moreover, it’s always useful to remember that in the category of personal data we can distinguish: confidential, genetic, or biometric data; those related to sexual orientation, and judicial data related to convictions or crimes.

What are the steps to follow to reduce the risk associated with the circulation of sensitive data?

  1. Step one: develop your guidelines for data handling;
  2. Step two: reassure employees about data sharing;
  3. Step three: use secure technologies such as smart contracts.

Businesses often store or use the personal data of their stakeholders or customers. For this reason, it’s important to know all the privacy regulations in place and the Cybersecurity technologies that block access.
