Automation comes to our rescue when we need to perform simple repetitive actions. The risk in repeating the same steps every day is that attention is lost, and the probability of error increases. For this reason, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is used, which automates those processes that do not include exceptions. This gives resources more time to focus on complex tasks.

Here’s an infographic that shows what RPA is and what it stands for.

We can say that Robotic Process Automation is software that replicates simple, predetermined repetitive actions performed by a human being.

What is the difference between Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence?

Software robots used in automated processes are programmed to repeat specific actions and provide pre-coded responses. On the other hand, Artificial Intelligence algorithms allow the software to learn, and through training steps and model creation, more detailed answers are generated. This is an extreme simplification because, in reality, automation and Artificial Intelligence are vast and complex topics. That’s why I recommend you read further with a focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

What are the activities that are most likely to be automated in the company? You can find the answer in the article on DeltalogiX, the Digital Transformation blog.

In addition, if you are interested in these topics but don’t have time to keep up with technologies applicable in the company, I suggest you subscribe to the DeltalogiX newsletter. You will receive advice and tips on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Cybersecurity and Sustainability.

Thanks for reading :)
