Environment and technology don’t always go hand in hand. Yet, as with anything, how you use it determines its impact. That’s why, when contemplating large investments, to align with the ongoing Digital Transformation, we also need to evaluate the green variables.

Paying attention to the elements that will allow us to protect the environment and society is a plus that will ensure an important competitive advantage. Let’s see what the correct strategic approach to follow is.

1)Checking the sustainability of digital processes

The aspects to consider to define a sustainable innovation are related to their impact. For example, how much such technologies consume, what waste or emissions they produce, what raw materials they require, and whether they comply with standards and controls related to the environment and society.

2)Status quo analysis

Another aspect to focus on is the company’s current scenario in which these new technologies will be incorporated. For example, assessing which processes consume the most or which, due to obsolete machinery, pollute the most serves to define the first points from which to start.

3)Valuing collective intelligence

A path of digital change is already complex and requires the involvement of all company management figures. But to make an entire company sustainable, it is essential to involve and motivate not only the leaders but all members of the organization, from CEOs to junior resources.

Finally, we must focus on common sense, but what does it mean? You’ll find the answer in the full article published on DeltalogiX.
